The Merlin EX720 provides high-speed connectivity to EV-DO Revision A networks, with data speeds of up to 3.1 Mbps--greater than many wired broadband data services. At the same time, the ExpressCard's advanced dual-band diversity antenna system incorporates an external flip antenna, maximizing data speed performance and allowing for stronger network signal reception. It all adds up to an ideal mobile data solution for individuals or enterprise users.
Design
The EX720 is smaller and lighter than a traditional PC card, and works with newer mobile notebooks that support the ExpressCard 54 and/or 34 interface. The card's flip-up antenna system, meanwhile, offers embedded dual-band diversity at 800 and 1900 MHz. And thanks to the external antenna jack, it's easy to further enhance data throughput and maximize network connectivity in fringe areas. The EX720 even offers A-GPS capability, which lets you retrieve location data from GPS satellites and utilize GPS navigation and location-based applications.
